Changes, Y'all.

Ok. I don't know if you're still out there (you faithful five, you) but if you are. I'M SO SORRY.

No seriously, I know that sounds like I'm screaming at you, but I'm totally not! I love how many people have come to love and follow (or at least check in from time to time) my blog. However, these 8,000 things happened to me over the last few days and well...I've totally slacked off here.

So here's what happened:

I went to PA to take care of my dad, who had half of his foot amputated.

I have been crazily studying for my crazy hard anatomy class. Partially because I want to get accepted to nursing school and partially because I'm a perfectionist who wants NEEDS to get straight A's. I can't help it. It's genetics. (ok no it's not it's just me)

I GOT A JOB. Crazy right? And it's been hurried and I found out last week (sort of) and confirmed it this week and have been GOING CRAZY doing all the things I need to do before I start on Tuesday.

Here's what is going to happen:

Photography is still really important to me. I'm going to continue taking pictures as often as I possibly can. I feel bad about not finishing this little thing that I started BUT at the same time...life takes you on a journey and I'm here for the ride. Ya know? So I'm going where life takes me at the moment. I'll continue to post a lot of photos from my photo shoots as well as my life...hopefully you'll still love me <3

Once again, sorry for my lack of posts and THANK YOU for being awesome.

I'm Cheating...

Ok so I'm cheating. I was going to post the pix I originally took for Saturday and Sunday (which were like...ok at best) but after my photoshoot with the ever fabulous Sonia, I decided to cheat and post pix of our photoshoot. I had SUCH a blast working with my camera and playing around in Photoshop...so these photos will represent both my newest escapades in photography, as well as my newest attempts at photo editing! Enjoy!

Day 30 (Saturday)

Day 31 (Sunday)

Day 32 (Monday)

Day 33 (Tuesday)

So as you can see, I had a little fun with the photoshop :-) I hope you enjoy my newest pictures! I'm learning so much and loving every minute of it!

Last Round of Updates...For Now

Day 27 (Wednesday)
it's difficult to get a good self portrait. But I like this even though it's out of focus.

Day 28 (Thursday)

My feet. I know. Lame.

Day 29 (Friday)

Again...totally random picture of part of my headpiece from my wedding. I have been SWAMPED with play rehearsals and the show opened on Friday (the day I took this picture) so I was basically running around like a crazy person trying to take good pictures (and failing).

I'll post pictures from Saturday, Sunday and Monday tomorrow. I have lined up a rather fabulous model to get some fun pix with people rather than my dog for once.

Love yall!

Second Round of Updates...

Day 23

More A Few Good Men pics from Saturday/Sunday

Day 24

The ever GLORIOUS Wanda. LOVE this woman <3

Day 25

This is where my pix start getting a little lame yall. For starters, I began tech week of AFGM, which as all theatre people know is basically the week that I live at the VBC (the facility we perform at). Also, I got a flash I've been playing around with in most of these photos so I'm just experimenting with the lighting. As usual, my dog is my best subject.

Day 26

Now, let me explain that the reason this is not half assed is because it took at least 20 minutes for me to get the shot I was looking for. Well...it's not exactly what I wanted but it doesn't suck. So there.

First Round of Updates...

I'll be posting three at time today. I have to go back to the VBC for AFGM and it takes forever to upload but here's the first three!

Project 365: Day 17, 18, 19

Day 17 (Sunday)

So The Frazz came over and showed me how Lil' C decided to spend her morning...stickering mommy's belly of course!

Day 18 (Monday)

Lil' C and I were playin' with some play doh (SO MUCH FUN...I forgot how fun it is to just play!) and we made a snowman. Can you tell?

Day 19 (Tuesday)

We were playing with this cute little pup... LOVE. HIM. So playful!  A little overexposed but it wouldn't have been quite as bad if he weren't practically white to begin with.

I'll post my next three pictures (Thursday, Friday and Saturday) probably Sunday morning. I'm going to try to post three days at a time. I'll post some random stuff in between or if I'm really excited about a particular picture I may post that as well.

PEACE Y'ALL!

Project 365: Day 16

(Tongue picture was deleted by accident. Will be back up soon)

DERP. If this were a little less fuzzy it'd be amazing. Oh well!

Project 365: Day 14 and 15

As promised, my pix for Day 14 and 15 (the before and after edits). My pix for Day 16 will be up shortly after this and they are new ones!

Day 14

Before:

After:

I was playing around with selected color. Not too bad for my first try.

Day 15

After:

This one is just a cool setting I found in Photoshop. It looks like a painting and the colors look so vibrant! I love it.

Project 365: Day 13

Before:

The photo was seriously overexposed. BUT I LOVE THIS. It's the perfect picture...minus my inability to use my camera.

After:

Couldn't tell you how I did this...it wasn't a sepia button. I did some small edits to her eyes and the background and then I used some sort of color option. Anywho...here's how it ended up!

Project 365: Day 12

Before:

The photo is a little underexposed and she's got hair all across her face.

After:

I lightened the photo a smidge (I'm thinking it may look a little overexposed now, though) got rid of the hair in her face, and converted the image to black and white. Overall I think it looks pretty good. I think it will look even better if I can get the lighting perfect.

Project 365: Day 11

Ok so this week I'm going to do something a little different. I'm going to post some photos I took a few weeks ago (ones you haven't seen) and I'm going to show you before and after I edit them.
Ok so this photo I LOVE...but the car in the background is super annoying..

BEFORE:

AFTER:

I made the photo a little bit brighter, removed the car (which took me like 8 hours...I have a new appreciation for photographers) and The Frazz showed me how to sharpen the eyes so those are a little more AWESOME. Plus I fixed her little tooth at The Frazz's request.

Let me know what you think!

Project 365: Thursday - Sunday

Thursday (Day 7) - after arranging my wall with my wedding server, knife and toasting glasses :sigh:

Friday (Day 8) - bored out of my mind. I posed my SHOES. who does that?

Saturday (Day 9) - Playing with the nighttime mode...lights and swirls and stuff.

Sunday (Day 10) - Just a little pic from Ashley and Drew's house :-)

Project 365: Day 6

On a lovely trip to drop my good friend Dave off at the airport, The Frazz and I took Little Frazz to an indoor playground. I sort of love this shot...yay new 50 mm for your awesomeness. I'm wishing I had the aperture set at 2.2ish instead of 1.8. I think that's why part of her face is a little fuzzy...or it could just be I didn't set the right focal point. BAH. Photographers? Help?

Been meaning to get some new  portraits of your little ones? Perhaps you're recently engaged and want to share the moment with your family and friends? You're in luck! I'm looking for models to help me build my portfolio. I'm currently offering FREE 1 hour sessions with a FREE CD of the images! Contact me for details at diana.m.klingler@att.net.

Project 365: Day 5 (Tuesday)

This is a picture I  took of a bug (it's not really a live bug so much as the skin/shell thinger of a bug) in the park that I thought was pretty spiffy... let me know what you think!

Project 365: Day 4

I love this child for making me look so good...

Thanks Frazz, for letting me borrow your child. I love children. and I love my camera. and I love Photography. Please leave comments, suggestions, etc below!

Project 365: Day 3

Ok so this is what I took, with a flash (yuck) of my UD Stuffed Moose. Not my fave but it's day 3!!

Project 365: Day 2

This is a picture I took when I was playing around with images to make a blurry background. It's not perfect but it's not too shabby either!

Don't even ask why I have a pumpkin and a puppy pencil on my desk. I couldn't tell you.

Project 365: Day 1

So, many of you know I recently purchased a brand new Canon DSLR. After making this oh-so-awesome purchase, I was perusing the interwebs trying to learn as much as I possibly could before I had my camera in hand,  when I came across an interesting little challenge...

Project 365

The idea is this: take at least one picture (often more) each day for an entire year and post/blog about each picture.  As soon as I read about this, I knew it was the direction I wanted my blog to go. For starters, it will be a great opportunity to learn more about my camera and photography. I'll take my camera virtually everywhere I go, and snap pictures of whatever calls to me.

An added bonus? This time next year I'll be able to look back at each day and cherish those memories. I'll be able to see where my photo's started (literally...I am going to post my first four pictures below that I've ever taken with my camera) and see how far I've grown (hopefully).

So without further ado, I present you with Day 1 of Project 365. I didn't do any advanced editing. These are all RAW images. 364 days left y'all!

My dog, Buffy, was not at all excited at the prospect of taking pictures.

Then of course there is me, taking a picture of myself with my new camera...muahhaha.

Oh Buffy.

Well I hope you enjoy the new direction of my blog and I look forward to sharing my year in pictures with you!
